Design Specialist II - Electrical Systems

We are looking for a Design Specialist II who will support product design and development activities under the direction of a Mechanical Engineer.
RESPONSIBILITIES Design and modeling of complex mechanical components and assemblies using SolidEdge and/or SolidWorks software packages Create engineering drawings and documentation required for fabrication and assembly of designs utilizing commercial design standards.
Assign part tolerances to achieve design intent.
Incorporate Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) using ASME Y14.
5M-1994 standard Design ruggedized enclosures and mounting structures for electronic and optical assemblies capable of withstanding extreme environments Create designs capable of achieving certification to MIL-STD-810 Work effectively with other engineering disciplines during product development to ensure designs meet system level requirements Interface with component vendors and fabrication facilities to select components and processes which satisfy design requirements and conform to best practice Incorporate Design for Manufacturing (DFM) concepts within new products to reduce manufacturing costs.
Process engineering change requests by incorporating mechanical changes within the product design documentation Support formal design reviews and communicate mechanical design concepts Effectively and efficiently manage engineering changes Deliver products on schedule and within budget Leads all aspects of project initiatives to conclusion, within cost and schedule constraints Special projects and other duties as assigned All employees are expected to be in compliance with government and corporate laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures EDUCATION Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other technical degree EXPERIENCE 6 or more years working within conventional engineering drawing practices required Design experience with military grade ruggedized chassis and components, familiarity with DFM, and familiarity with MIL-STD-810 requirements and certification Experience in the mitigation of shock, vibration, and temperature effects on sensitive electronics and optical equipment through mechanical design Experience designing machined, injection molded, and sheet metal components, as well as experience designing metal castings Proven track record of delivering products on schedule and within budget 10 years' experience with Pro/E, Solidworks and/or SolidEdge software preferred ADDITIONAL SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS Must have ability to obtain and/or maintain DoD clearance Knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
