CACI's Advanced Solution Group (ASG) is looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join our embedded space systems team.
Are you interested in developing space systems for missions important to the United States? Do enjoy writing software for real-time embedded systems that will be a part of larger electro-mechanical systems? Are you interested in working on hardware/software interfaces, writing the communication interfaces, debugging your firmware and software, and optimizing your implementations? Join CACI's ASG team and be a part of a fast-paced, technical design team developing a small satellite for launch in 2023.
More About the Role:
Design and develop real-time embedded software development and test products for CACI's Advanced Solutions Group (ASG) Demonstration Satellite (DemoSat).
Analyze, design, develop, and maintain space products; assist in mission engineering and commercialization.
Work on a multi-disciplinary team with systems, mechanical, electrical, computer, and software engineers developing a small satellite system.
Write software for real-time embedded systems as well as the multi-threaded drivers and applications for spaceBuild prototypes, products, and systems for testing; set up and run laboratory simulationsDesign testing procedures and coordinate testing.
Conduct tests, document results, and develop client presentationAssist with planning, conducting, and evaluating approaches to meet project objectives in a timely, cost-effective fashion.

Qualifications:
Must currently be a full-time Undergraduate Student working on a BS degree in space relevant field:
Physics, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer ScienceMust be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearance.
0-2 years of relevant experienceEmbedded systems designProficient in C/C+
and PythonInterpersonal skills required to work with others and communicate effectivelyAbility to work well on a team for quick-reaction projectsProblem solving skillsOrganizational skillsThese Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Hands-on prototyping and assembly experienceExperience with multi-threaded programmingUnderstanding of Digital Signal Processing (DSP), Software Defined Radios (SDR), and RF and Antenna engineeringPursing a degree in BS degree in Physics, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science or related space relevant fieldMinimum GPA of 3.
