Configuration Management Engineer

Job Description Configuration Management Engineer All levels of the Configuration Management Engineer will have the skills listed below.
Each level may have additional education, skill and/or experience requirements.
The Configuration Management Engineer is responsible for configuration management (CM) of capabilities, developmental and operational systems.
Works in Integrated Product Teams (IPT) to create and maintain configuration baselines (software, COTS/GOTS, development, test, production, etc.
) supporting capability development, system sustainment and operations (SS&O).
Uses or recommends automated CM tools to implement CM policies and procedures.
Develops or modifies CM plans, policies, and procedures tailored to the complexity and scope of the developmental or operational system.
Implements CM discipline for the entire life cycle of systems from initial requirements/capabilities baselines to system end-of-life.
Perform change control and configuration audits.
Required skills and responsibilities include:
Experience and/or familiarity with one or more configuration management tool (eg, DOORS, CVS, Eclipse, Clearcase, Subversion, etc.
).
Document and perform hardware and software version control processes, policies and procedures.
Experience and/or familiarity with CM standards such as ISO, ITIL and CMMI.
Define and implement hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures.
Develop product build scripts and procedures, and integrate scripts with the hardware and software build process.
Establish and maintain program's CM systems and document and software libraries Develop and improve the program CM processes.
Provide CM process training to program team.
Communicate CM status to CM Management and Program Management.
Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance required.
US Citizenship required.
Desired skills include:
Experience and/or familiarity with Agile development methodology.
Experience and/or familiarity with one or more of the following:
Perl, shell scripting, C++, C#, Java.
Certifications:
DODI 8570.
1-M Compliance at IAT Level I certification required.
Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification desired.
CM01:
Configuration Management Engineer I No demonstrated experience required.
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Math, Science, Information Technology or Business from an accredited college or university is required.
Four (4) years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
CM02:
Configuration Management Engineer II Two (2) or more years of configuration management experience required.
A Masters degree in a related discipline may substitute for two (2) years of experience Bachelors degree in Engineering, Math, Science, Information Technology or Business discipline is required.
Four (4) years of experience (for a total of six (6) or more years) may be substituted for a degree.
Additional Responsibilities and/or skills:
Experience using a source code control system for a development program is desired.
CM03:
Configuration Management Engineer Senior I Four (4) or more years of configuration management experience required.
A Masters degree in a related discipline may substitute for two (2) years of experience.
A PhD may substitute for four (4) years of experience.
Bachelors degree in in Engineering, Math, Science, Information Technology or Business discipline is required.
Six (6) years of experience (for a total of ten (10) or more years) may be substituted for a degree.
Additional Responsibilities and/or skills:
Experience using a source code control system for a development program is required.
Certifications:
Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification required.
CM04:
Configuration Manager Senior II Six (6) or more years of configuration management experience required.
A Masters degree in a related discipline may substitute for two (2) years of experience.
A PhD may substitute for four (4) years of experience.
Bachelors degree in in Engineering, Math, Science, Information Technology or Business discipline is required.
Eight (8) years of experience (for a total of fourteen (14) or more years) may be substituted for a degree.
Additional Responsibilities and/or skills:
Experience using a source code control system for a development program is required.
Experience leading a CM team is desired.
Certifications:
Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification required.
CM05:
Configuration Manager Principal I Eight (8) or more years of configuration management experience required.
A Masters degree in a related discipline may substitute for two (2) years of experience.
A PhD may substitute for four (4) years of experience.
Bachelors degree in in Engineering, Math, Science, Information Technology or Business discipline is required.
Ten (10) years of experience (for a total of eighteen (18) or more years) may be substituted for a degree.
Additional Responsibilities and/or skills:
Experience leading a CM team is required.
Experience using a source code control system for a development program is required.
Certifications:
Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification required.
CM06:
Configuration Manager Principal II Ten (10) or more years of configuration management experience required.
A Masters degree in a related discipline may substitute for two (2) years of experience.
A PhD may substitute for four (4) years of experience.
Bachelors degree in in Engineering, Math, Science, Information Technology or Business discipline is required.
Twelve (12) years of experience (for a total of twenty-two (22) or more years) may be substituted for a degree.
Additional Responsibilities and/or skills:
The Configuration Manager Principal II shall be able to do all of the indicated tasks of a Configuration Manager Principal I plus all of the following indicated tasks:
Designs and configures the environment for hardware and software product build, staging, testing and integration.
At least four (4) years of experience using a source code control system for a developmental program of similar scope and complexity.
Experience leading a CM team is required.
Certifications:
Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
