Summary:
At Pei Wei, Shift Leaders directly assist our Management teams and play a critical role in the success of our restaurants.
Our Shift Leaders share the responsibility for training and guiding the behaviors of other team members.
Success in this role requires the ability to work all aspects a restaurant from guest service to kitchen execution.
Additionally, capacity to understand and use back-office systems is critical to the role.
Being comfortable as a leader is essential since Shift Leaders are asked to take the lead role in the absence of the Management.
Essential Functions:
Certified/trained in Culinary and Front-of-the-House Operations and can perform duties & coach/verify on a daily basis.
Certified food handler & can effectively teach and execute company safety and health procedures Effectively communicates (through live convo's, email, etc) to Team Members, Management, & RSO Acts as a role model in behaviors, dress, and guest interaction.
Exhibits desired Pei Wei behaviors & standards & is a role model for dress, behavior, & interaction w/guests & team members Effectively leads the team during the shift, through coaching, delegation, and verification.
Effectively follows/executes shift responsibilities as outlined on mod checklist - to include admin, reporting, scheduling, SMG scores, cash handling, opening/closing duties, inventory/ordering, etc.
Effectively supports the onboarding/training process to include scheduling Effectively performs cash handling procedures according to company policies Effectively handles Guest relations & can coach team on behaviors to improve the guest experience Promptly escalates any Employee relations concerns to the gm Attends all store manager meetings Effectively executes other tasks/duties as assigned Requirements:
Education and Certifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Must be able to stand and walk for periods of four to ten hours in length each shift.
Must be able to reach, bend, balance and transport various objects weighing up to 30 lbs repeatedly during a shift.
Must be able to hear with 100% accuracy with correction.
Must be able to see at 20/20 vision with correction.
