Associate Director, Procurement Proposal Strategy

DescriptionLeidos has a career opening for an Associate Director, Supply Chain Proposal Strategy located in in the Washington Metropolitan Area.
The person in this role manages a team that coordinates with Sourcing, Operations, Design Engineering, the Supply Base and Industry experts to facilitate the design, production, test and qualification of aerospace and defense products.
The Associate Director is responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
The Associate Director directs the analyses of technical data, engineering designs, preliminary specifications, manufacturing limitations, supplier facilities, and parts/equipment availability.
The Associate Director manages the facilitation of technical trade-offs and standardization that may lead to more economical procurement.
The Associate Director also manages design changes to mitigate production issues.
Due to nature of assignments, up to 25% travel is possible.
Primary Responsibilities-Serve as a leader in the Material Operations & Strategy organization with oversight of Supply Chain Engineering & Material Cost Estimating organizations.
Lead team of 15 direct reports.
-This role will also have job responsibilities associated with Supplier Management, Business Process Re-Engineering, and Procurement Tool deployments.
-The leader must have experience in project planning, scheduling, coordination, with a demonstrated history of developing technical solutions that meet program requirements.
-Selected candidate must have history of developing BOMs, ROMs, and resource planning.
-Experience with supplier coordination including hardware and software selection, maintenance issues, and problem resolution.
Experience in inventory planning, coordination, and tracking a plus.
-Leads teams of Supplier and internal staff in collaboratively solving problems in Cost/Value Engineering, Affordability, and Technical Solutions-Collaborate within supply chain organization, across capture/program and technical leadership, and with suppliers to drive innovative supply chain and technical solutions that meet program requirementsBasic Qualifications-Bachelor's degree and 8
years of related experience or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.
Additional years of experience may be used in lieu of a degree.
-IT Background, Supplier Management, Material Pricing, Project Planning, and Proposal Strategy Experience-Strong understanding in acquisition of Cloud, Cyber, and XaaS technologies-Demonstrated experience interfacing across multiple organizations and program levels-Ability to work under tight time constraints-Worked as a Team Lead/Leader in prior relevant prior assignment-Technical/proposal writing experience-Ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearancePreferred Qualifications-PMP, Supply Chain Engineering, Logistics, HW/SW Maintenance Planning, Earned Value Management, and Proposal Volume Authorship Experience-Non-IT/manufacturing experience/background-Strong understanding of US Government acquisition laws and regulations (FAR)Pay Range:
Pay Range $118,300.
00 - $182,000.
00 - $245,700.
