Senior Principal Cyber Site Lead
A Site Lead wanted for Dulles based regional area market segment with strong organizational skills, deep understanding of the customer culture and mission, ability to innovate technically and experience leading technical teams. This is a senior
position
with full accountability and authority for establishing, growing then leading a high tempo, high productivity software engineering organization with primary focus on providing innovative state-of-the-art software solutions.
The successful candidate will independently set strategy, vision and tactical direction that allows for success in setting up a skunk works type center of excellence in the VA area. The candidate will be responsible for the results and effectiveness of a geographic region considered critical for the long term success of the business. Much more than being an effective caretaker of an existing business, the successful candidate will be building it from scratch.
The position requires a high degree of flexibility and a successful candidate will participate through multiple roles as the organization evolves. These roles include Principal
investigator
on research programs, business development, program management, software engineer, hiring
manager
etc. The most important aspect of this position is to create a culture of innovation that: 1) Allows for success in solving challenging open ended problems; 2) Requires success in building a progressive forward leaning and highly disciplined work environment; 3) Requires leadership capable of motivating and retaining a highly skilled workforce; 4) Requires an ability to recognize and effectively remove barriers that may limit success.
As the primary spokesperson for the geographic region the successful candidate will develop and present to senior management operating plans and financial outlooks in both short and long term timeframes. The position will be responsible for committing the emergent organization to specific financial goals and obligations in accordance with pre negotiated and agreed to targets.

- Reporting directly to the leadership team and working with program management, business development, finance and director of engineering.
- Managing and growing a portfolio of programs while ensuring consistency of approach and delivery of excellence to internal and external stakeholders
- Building, insp iring, and integrating a team of highly talented contributors
- Implementing mechanisms to measure performance and effectiveness at the business level
- Being a visionary and evangelist

years of engineering management experience with this specific customer

years Senior level experience in providing high-end engineering

years of hands on experience in a successful start-up environment
- Experience with bid, proposal, program management, financial analysis and reporting
- Proven track record in building high tempo organizations; must be results oriented
- Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, presentation)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, start-up type environment
Education Required: Bachelors Degree in engineering, mathematics or
computer
science, advanced degree a plus
Clearance Required: US citizenship required. An active TS/SCI clearance a plus.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
