Raytheon Technology Company is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer/Systems Administrator supporting a sophisticated internet-based research system in a dynamic, ever-expanding digital environment.
The individual will be a member of a high performing team who work closely together to drive creative solutions for challenging problems in a friendly, supportive environment.
This position involves sustainment operations (O&M and technical support) that focuses on all aspects of the infrastructure including architecture, engineering, design, installation, configuration and security compliance.
It requires an experienced, hands-on technical administrator/engineer with a range of experiences including virtualization, datacenter, co-location/Cloud, storage, networking, security, mobile emulation, Windows, and Linux.
The position is located in Reston, VA.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Develop a deep understanding of the complex mission environment and design innovative solutions that encompass multiple disciplines for Sponsor requirementsWork with various virtualization/infrastructure/operating systems/automation technologies and networking protocols to come up with secure, robust common infrastructure solutions that can work seamlessly with small to large scale mission deployment scenariosEngage with the Sponsor, program manager and technical team to understand product shortcomings and devise short-term and long-term plans, and execute them in timely mannerQUALIFICATIONS:
The Senior Network/Systems Engineer shall meet the following core qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a technical field related to the position (Computer Science, Information/Systems Engineering, or other technical discipline) or 3 years specialized systems, infrastructure, or enterprise architecture equivalencyMinimum five (5) years of Systems Engineering/Systems Administration experience with Windows and Linux operating systems (Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS), infrastructure platforms, mission networks, storage area networks, and/or databasesMinimum three (3) years' experience leading/supporting projects using misattributed research networks and internet technology projects
Qualifications:
Technical Team Leadership experienceExperience engineering, upgrading, and sustaining Sponsor's misattribution internet, mission, or enterprise networksExperience managing, engineering, and troubleshooting Cisco networking equipmentKnowledge of applicable Sponsor network security and technology policies and proceduresExperience engineering, installing, operating, and maintaining virtual environments/services to include OS virtualization, VDI, Desktop as a Service (DaaS), and software defined services (such as SDN)Experience designing and developing automation and orchestration servicesExperience with various scripting languagesDemonstrated experience analyzing user needs and developing technical solutionsExperience with designing, developing, or supporting hyper-converged infrastructure capabilities and services for platforms such as Nutanix or HP SimplivityMinimum two (2) years' experience in cloud-based IT systems or hybrid cloud delivery models designing, developing in, or transitioning systems and processes to the cloudCertifications in areas related to the position such as:
Technical Cisco Certified Network ProfessionalMicrosoft Certified Systems EngineerLinux Certification (RedHat RHCE 6.
x, 7.
x)Certified Nutanix ProfessionalMust have an active TS/SCI clearance with poly on day one of employment.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
